Uplifts are genetically enhanced apes who grew intelligent due to fallout from the Atomic Wars.
History[]
The Uplifts were originally apes who rapidly grew in intelligence after the Atomic Wars. After some education many of them were released into society to live their lives as registered citizens. In Mega-City One most Uplifts lived in the Jungle before its destruction during the Apocalypse War.
